About
Ciao a tutti! I’m Ilaria, your new Italian teacher.
I’m a professional Italian teacher, I was born in Rome and grew up in a small village by Lake Bolsena at the crossroads of Tuscany, Lazio, and Umbria.

Living all over Europe, I’ve picked up some other languages – English, German, and a dash of French and Russian– but Italian? Italian’s my favorite.
I have a degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures and went on to get my certification at level I in DITALS (Teaching Italian to Foreigners aka you!).
I’ve spent years teaching Italian in Italy and across Europe.
Most recently, I found myself sharing this bellissima language with students at the Dante Alighieri Society in Prague.
My time there was a very formative experience for me as a teacher.
I actually took some continuing education lessons and workshops myself. I’m always trying to stay up to date on the latest and greatest strategies for teaching Italian to modern language lovers.
While I absolutely love to travel to explore new cultures, I’ve returned home to Italia. Now, I spend my days sharing Italy’s exquisite language with students of all ages from all backgrounds.
Off duty, you’ll find me traveling, doing pilates and going to the theater. My true passion? (Besides Italian, of course) Books! Give me a good book with a glass of wine, and I’m smiling as big as a traveler who sets foot in Italy for the first time.
On LinkedIn you can find more information about my work experiences and my educational background.
